About Tigh-na-Mara

Tigh-na-Mara is in a quiet spot in the picturesque village of Ceos near the A859. Centrally situated in Lewis, about 12 miles from Stornoway and 25 miles from Tarbert, it is ideally located for walking, fishing and bird watching.

The cottage is well-equipped and sleeps five people. It has a large garden with superb views over Loch Erisort.

Off its large entrance hall Tigh-na-Mara has a roomy, comfortable lounge with a patio door looking over Loch Erisort. There is a coal and wood burning stove plus TV, video and radio with a selection of books, videos and games.

The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with gas cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer, coffee maker, automatic washing machine and overhead drying rack.

There is one double bedroom and one triple bedroom. A cot is available on request.

The bathroom has bath and shower.

Tigh-na-Mara has full central heating. All electricity, gas and fuel is included. All linen is provided and there is off-road parking.

Sorry, we do not accept pets.



Practical information

Stornoway has a wide range of shops including two supermarkets. Nearer to hand there is a good general store and filling station at Liurbost which is open from early morning to late evening. With just one exception all shops are closed on Sundays.

We are happy to take advance orders for groceries.
